The city operates three tourist information centers within the city to make sightseeing in the city more convenient and pleasant. The tourist information centers have pamphlets, etc., with all sorts of information about sightseeing in Sakai. The centers are also staffed with volunteers to provide advice about sightseeing in Sakai (open 10:00 am to 4:30 pm; closed on the first Monday of each month and for yearend/new year holidays).
Cycles can also be rented at the tourist information centers for ¥300 per day. Bicycling is a relaxing way to enjoy the city. You need identification such as a driver’s license or passport to rent a bicycle.
Sakaihigashi Tourist Information Center
Staffed with workers who can converse in English, the center plays a central role among three tourist information centers. Quality souvenirs and crafts of Sakai are also sold at the center.

Sakai Station Tourist Information Center
Ideal as starting place for sightseeing around Sakai Station, where the vestige of medieval Sakai which flourished due to trade with Spain and Portugal, remains. There is an exhibition of local industries of Sakai on the side of the West Exit ticket wicket at Sakai Station.

Daisen Park Tourist Information Center
Located right next to the Nintoku-ryo Tumulus, adjacent to Daisen Park, the symbol of Sakai City. The environment is just right for nature cycling. Souvenirs are also sold at the center.
